Current mood: but not for blood!

Link Set 10.
Hello, my fearsome fanged friends!

Well, actually I hope none of you really do have fangs, but the alliteration is nice, don't you think?

I'm sure you can guess what this set's all about.

I thought this year, I'd focus on something other than the Dracula-esque vampire we all know and love (while wearing a sturdy Algernon's Collar about our throats, of course).

Romanian vampires are fascinating.

In the old D&D Monsters Manual, this particular creature was listed. I'm told it had to be taken out for being too gruesome.

An interesting sort of creature to me.

In the book Goblin Moon, trolls have a "deformity" in the form of some animalistic feature. A clawed, scaly paw instead of a hand, or a horses's leg complete with hoof. I wonder if Ms. Edgerton researched these ladies and used them as inspiration?

I need to share this with Mom, since her birthday falls within the "zone".

I'd never heard of this poor lady until I did this year's research. So sad!

Quite clear why Ms. Hamilton used these creatures as inspiration.

I did say every culture, did I not? Fascinating!

I hope tonight's guest list of sanguinary connoisseurs intrigues you. Remember to scatter the rice before your thresholds and hang your garlic curtains tonight, my dears!
